Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description This role will serve as Our Client's main point of contact for clients' electrical needs and support projects in the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities.
The position will assist in developing project management skills, including managing project budgets, coordinating delivery schedules, and ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities * Perform electrical design and coordination tasks focused on power distribution, lighting systems, communication systems, fire alarm systems, and control systems.
* Utilize CAD software (Autodesk and Bentley products) for electrical system design and documentation.
* Establish design criteria and perform design calculations.
* Develop electrical design documents including one-line diagrams, control schematics, electrical plans, and specifications.
* Provide engineering services during construction, review equipment submittals and shop drawings, and respond to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information). * Conduct field inspections to identify deviations from design and ensure safety compliance during construction.
* Perform electrical system analysis using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and other power systems analysis software.
* Travel as required to meet project needs, not to exceed 25%. Essential Skills * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum of 5 (ideally 7-10) years of relevant experience.
* EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in the wastewater industry preferred, but not required.
* Consideration given to experience in oil & gas, industrial, or manufacturing industries.
* Motor Control Center, Variable Frequency Drive, Standby generators, automatic transfer system, switchboard/switchgear, control schematics, fire systems, CAD software, ETAP, Electrical design.
Work Environment Our Client prefers candidates in Columbus but will consider applicants from Akron, Toledo, Detroit, and Cleveland.
The role offers a hybrid work model with 2-3 days in the office.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $132000.00/yr.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
