Fisher Dynamics is currently seeking a Process Design Engineer - Jr. to join our corporate team in Saint Clair Shores, MI. This position is responsible for design and development processes, as well the equipment, fixtures, required to execute the product transformation at Fisher Dynamics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, Design and Control the improvement of Fisher manufacturing processes.
Responsible for executing and coordinating aspects associated with design products and engineering changes, from the Windchill/Team Center product control system to the projects assigned in compliance with the Company's objectives.
Support Process and Customer Quality issues using problem-solving techniques.
Create and implement process design changes to meet quality expectations and increase productivity.
Establish, enlist, and approve supporting documents and / or procedures including, but not limited to, the BOM.
Analysis of product and process specifications for Continuous Improvement, (reduction of costs, improvement to Quality and operation of the product).
Provide support to production lines, where process performance is impacted by product-process design capability.
Validate design changes proposed by the Corporate Product Design Team.
Comply with the procedures of the quality and environmental management system.
Comply with the company's internal security procedures and work regulations.
Work based on continuous improvement projects.
Monitor and report team KPI.
Develop PFMEA.

Education
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and training
Experience
Design capabilities in one or more of the following fields: Controls, Equipment and tooling or welding.
1 + Year of experience
Exposed to automotive seating/Mechanism environment preferred.
Skills
Auto CAD and SolidWorks knowledge
MTM
GD&T - Blueprint reading.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
