What to Expect

Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue throughsummerterm (endingapproximately August 2026or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

We are dedicated to providing an experience that allows the intern to experience life at Tesla by including them in projects that are critical to their team's success. What You'll Do

Help drive and collect clear input to the project team on schedules, design, issues, and deliverables related to subsystem and vehicle development

Drive design decisions or issues to closure while getting alignment across stakeholders

Consolidate inputs from across Tesla into executive reviews highlighting risks and opportunities

Contribute in analytics to help drive engineering decision and create dashboards to monitor CM/Factory/Vehicle critical data

Coordination and tracking of running changes (ex. cost savings, field failures, etc.) for all MS/XM3/Y with design, manufacturing & service

Structuring, releasing, and owning engineering bill of material (BOM) for assigned vehicle components (ECOs)

Developing processes and workflows to improve efficiency

What You'll Bring

Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field

Prior program management experience or managing a team, such as FSAE, Hyperloop, etc.

Desired to be proficient in Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, and Git

Experience in leading teams, and proven ability to drive initiatives to conclusion

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
