As a licensed Professional Engineer, the Project Engineer leads the technical execution of multiple civil engineering projects from concept to completion. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, while fostering strong client and agency relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate project technical work and mentor junior engineers
Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Perform QA/QC reviews and enforce engineering standards
Represent clients at public meetings and agency hearings
Prepare engineering agreements, proposals, and estimates What We're Looking For:
Licensed PE with proven project management experience
Skilled in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; strong analytical abilities
Effective communicator with clients, agencies, and internal teams
Committed to mentoring and team development
Capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications:
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to build client trust and deliver projects efficiently
Experienced in public meeting presentations and stakeholder engagement Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (California preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience, including project coordination and team leadership
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across disciplines
Reports to Group Leader and may also report to the Branch Manager as needed
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions and building lasting client relationships
Salary Description
