Role: Java Lead

Location: North Quincy, MA - hybrid onsite (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!)

Duration: 6 months

• A Cloud Native application with Microservices Lead is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to a team focused on developing and implementing solutions for Microservices and REST APIs.

• Ensure the team delivers high-quality, scalable, and secure APIs and Micro services applications that meet business requirements.

• This role involves overseeing the technical aspects of projects, guiding the team in design and development, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Micro services and REST APIs.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers.

• Ensure best practices in Microservices development and deployment.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Microservices.

• Stay updated with the latest Microservice Designs features and industry trends.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Services with other systems.

• Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5 to 10 years of experience as Tech Lead or Java Spring boot and Microservices Developer respectively.

• Strong Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

• Deep understanding of Microservice Design pattern (Circuit breaker, API Gateway, Service discovery)

• Experience with Containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes for Orchestration

• Proficient in Could Platforms, AWS

• Hands on with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar

• Solid understanding of event Driven architecture (Kafka/SQS/PubSub)

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js

• Professional experience using MUI v4/v5

• deep understanding of MUIs theming, sx prop, styled component and design system

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript

• Investment banking related experience is a plus.

• Experience with monitoring and logging framework: ELK, Splunk

• good understanding of OAuth2/JWT, API Security and Zero-trust architecture
