We're seeking a Systems Analyst 2 with deep experience in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops / Citrix DaaS and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) to support and optimize a large-scale enterprise virtual desktop environment. This role requires strong Citrix/AVD administration skills, Windows Server expertise, networking fundamentals, automation experience, and the ability to troubleshoot across multiple infrastructure layers.
What You'll Do
Administer and optimize Citrix DaaS/CVAD integrated with Azure Virtual Desktop, including host pools, session hosts, delivery groups, MCS/Autoscale, FSLogix profiles, app layering, Cloud Connectors, StoreFront/Workspace, and Citrix Gateway.
Manage Windows Server (2022) environments: AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP; perform patching, hardening, and image lifecycle management.
Use PowerShell, MECM/Intune, and basic IaC tools (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) to automate tasks.
Apply networking and security fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, load balancing, ACLs, OS firewalls, and Azure NSG/ASG.
Monitor and troubleshoot using Citrix Director/Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
Maintain documentation, support change/incident processes, and assist with DR, compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
Collaborate closely with support teams and app owners to deliver a seamless virtual desktop experience; participate in on-call rotation. Minimum Qualifications
7+ years administering Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix DaaS, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
7+ years Windows Server admin (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, patching).
Strong PowerShell skills and troubleshooting experience across Citrix/AVD, Windows, and network layers.
Expertise in networking basics: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, load balancing, ACLs, firewall rule management.
Strong documentation and experience working in structured change/incident management environments. Preferred Qualifications
4+ years experience with Azure network security, public-sector security frameworks (NIST 800-53), and CIS hardening.
