Job Summary:
The Wikoff Graphics team delivers the products, support and expertise our customers need to excel in the graphic arts industry. We offer a full line of high-performance photopolymer plates, processing equipment, imaging software & hardware along with consumables used in the flexographic printing and pre-press printing market.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving new customer acquisitions and expanding Wikoff's presence in the graphics, flexographic, and narrow web markets. This role focuses on identifying growth opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and collaborating with sales, technical, and manufacturers product teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
The ideal candidate is a commercially minded, technically proficient individual contributor who thrives in a demonstrating value, providing technical knowledge and enjoys building long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business & Market Expansion
Identify, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities within the graphics and flexographic printing markets.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects through networking, referrals, industry events, and targeted outreach.
Expand penetration within existing accounts by uncovering new applications, technologies, and services.
Support strategic growth initiatives tied to new products, markets, and geographies. Customer Engagement & Sales Execution
Lead discovery conversations to understand customer needs, workflows, and technical requirements.
Partner with TSRs, Field Service Engineers, and Product Management to develop tailored solutions.
Present Wikoff's value proposition, including plates, equipment, software, and services.
Support pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and onboarding of new customers.
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and customer activity in CRM. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Business Manager, Graphics on growth strategy and key account development.
Coordinate with Technical Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D to ensure opportunities are fully supported.
Support field trials, product launches, and customer transitions to new technologies.
Provide market feedback on customer needs, competitive activity, and product performance. Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
Share insights to support product development, pricing strategy, and go-to-market planning.
Contribute to annual business planning and territory growth strategies. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemistry or Business with a focus on graphics, packaging, or related field.
3-7+ years of experience in ink/printing, or similar adjacent industry.
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a technical environment
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
Willingness to travel regularly to support customers and industry events
