Machine Operator/Extrusion - 3rd shift

Job Full Description

Our client is hiring Skilled Extrusion Operators in the Easton/ Bethlehem area!

Extrusion Operator requirements are:

• Installing of molds including all hydraulic, water, and electrical connections where needed

• Start-up of molding machines and auxiliary equipment to pre-established process parameters

• Basic troubleshooting of injection molding processes and automation equipment

• Pre-inspection of the molded product prior to submitting for quality inspection

• Safe removal of molds from the molding machine for planned maintenance

• Responsible for the promotion of and adherence to all appropriate safety practices

• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in injection molding manufacturing is required

• Basic computer skills desired

• An understanding of Scientific Injection Molding Principles or equivalent is desired but not required

• The ability to use basic hand tools is required

• The ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures

• Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages, and work with decimals and fractions, required

• The ability to work 12-hour shifts and occasionally work holidays

• The ability to be standing 70% of the time and can lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to use measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, etc.
