Responsibilities
Kforce's client, one of Nassau County's top employers, is seeking an Associate Director of Payroll to be responsible for leading the payroll area, payroll processing, and related activities. This role is onsite, a 40-hour work week with a chance for a hybrid arrangement in the near future.Here are just a few of the core responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department
Coordinate payroll processing and workflow
Set up New Hires, process changes, terminations, direct deposit, taxable fringe benefits, deductions for administrators, clerical, facilities, public safety, and hourly employees
Checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards
Perform tasks to establish, reconcile and maintain employee payroll records Skills
Minimum five years of payroll experience with 2,000 or more employees is required. (union and non-union)
CPP designation is preferred
Knowledge of ADP payroll system (Vantage +)
Knowledge of Automated Time & Attendance System (ADP eTime)
Knowledge of Payroll Garnishments
Proficiency in Excel and Word
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communications skills
Ability to maintain strict deadlines in a hectic environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
