Maintenance Technician
Description:
Pay Rate: $25.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.
Overtime: Available as needed.
Employment Type: Full-time, contract-to-hire.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Position Overview
A well-established manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time, contract-to-hire role. This position plays a critical part in keeping plant equipment and facilities operating safely, efficiently, and reliably through both preventive and corrective maintenance.

Perform preventive and non-scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Install, modify, or upgrade equipment and direct mechanics or contractors when required.
Diagnose and support electrical and electronic controls, including PLCs, HMIs, and PC-based systems.
Fabricate fixtures and equipment using drawings, schematics, or conceptual designs.
Maintain and repair electrical, piping, and fluid pumping systems.
Document work orders, repairs, and parts usage accurately in CMMS software.
Perform additional maintenance tasks such as welding, HVAC work, control circuits, or fabrication.
Operate forklifts and use standard maintenance testing and measuring tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED required; formal technical training preferred.
Previous forklift experience.
Valid driver's license.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Flexibility to respond to off-shift emergency or unplanned maintenance needs.
