Description

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to provide patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in preparing and maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Other: Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment. This position has limited access to Medication Rooms. Medications should not be handled at any time. Any questions should be directed to your supervisor or the charge nurse of the unit in question. Work Demands/Environment: Frequent standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, crouching, stooping. Frequent lifting/moving patients. Intermittent lifting, moving or carrying up to 50 lbs. Frequent pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant reaching with hands/arms and twisting. Frequent talking and/or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue.

Required Education

High School Diploma/GED and one of the following options:

Option 1: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist educational program

Option 2: Completion of an approved Surgical Technology training program through one of the following:

• U.S. Military Training Program (U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard)

Salary 45.00 - 45.00 Hour
