Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Merrimack, NH that is seeking a Mainframe Developer.Responsibilities:
Performing as a full stack engineer within an Agile team, including requirements gathering, development, and end-to-end testing
Defining, developing, and leading interactive team to implement application-level architecture, giving due consideration to application scalability and extensibility, and conformance to established standards
Providing on-site and on-call support as needed and acting as a subject matter expert as part of a cross-functional crisis management team
Developing applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division
Recommending development testing tools and methodologies and reviewing and validating test plans
Resolving technical roadblocks involving multiple technologies and making recommendations and improvements to avoid them in the future
Collaborating with multiple layers of management to share approaches, develop solutions, and improve capabilities throughout the organization
Leading collaborative sessions and ceremonies with stakeholders and providing guidance and feedback to team members
Being responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables
Planning and conducting system testing
Use business and technical knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex stock plan services software applications on a mainframe platform running under a Z/OS environment Skills
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field, and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or 5+ years of experience as a technical lead in mainframe brokerage or stock plan services systems and application development
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as a technical lead in mainframe brokerage and stock plan services systems and application development
Knowledge of ETL, Informatica, Java, Python, or other distributed languages is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
