Metrology operator

job summary:

A Metrology Operator is needed in the Santa Clara, CA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This role involves the hands-on operation and qualification of semiconductor manufacturing equipment within a cleanroom environment.

responsibilities:

Operate assigned semiconductor process equipment including Metrology, PVD, CVD, RTP, Etch, ECP, and Lithography tools.

Perform basic system qualifications on assigned semiconductor processing equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Support process demonstrations for both internal and external customers.

Compile, update, and maintain detailed process data and technical specifications.

Use real-time databases to monitor equipment performance and input production data.

Track production activities against specific requirements to ensure equipment efficiency.

Troubleshooting and resolve basic technical issues within a semiconductor fabrication or R&D environment.

Adhere strictly to cleanroom protocols and safety procedures while working around hazardous materials.

Collaborate and interface with members of various departments to meet operational goals.

Manage tasks within a fast-paced environment involving compressed or augmented work week schedules.

Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the integrity of semiconductor production. Skills:

Technical Degree with 1+ years of industry experience or 5+ years of industry experience in Semiconductor Fab production and/or R&D environment.

Hands-on experience operating semiconductor processing equipment, including Metrology, PVD, CVD, RTP, Etch, ECP, Clean, Metal Dep, and Lithography processing equipment.qualifications:
