Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Location: Southwoods Health
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
About the Role:
Southwoods Health is seeking a professional LPN to join our Pain Management (PM&R) team. In this role, you will partner with physicians to deliver specialized, high-quality care. This position offers a stable weekday schedule and a balance of hands-on clinical support and essential administrative coordination.
Essential Duties:
Clinical Support: Assist physicians with clinical procedures within the LPN scope of practice and perform Point of Care (POC) testing.
Patient Coordination: Schedule procedures and follow-up appointments; interact with patients to relay diagnostic results and physician instructions.
Medical Communication: Answer patient inquiries regarding medical concerns, process prescription refills through the EMR, and manage phone triage.
Administrative Oversight: Compile and fax orders, labs, and reports for hospital procedures; ensure all diagnostic results are routed to the ordering physician.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain practice compliance with regulatory agencies (OSHA, ODH, TJC) and complete regular safety (EOC) rounds.
Service Excellence: Foster a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and professional demeanor. Qualifications:
Licensure: Current LPN license in the State of Ohio.
Certification: Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a physician's office or ambulatory setting; 1+ year of direct patient care.
Technical Skills: Previous EMR experience is preferred.
Core Skills: Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to professional ethics.
