Location: Alachua, FL

Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead for assigned product line(s).

Partner with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Technical Services teams.

Identify, prioritize, and resolve product quality issues through the Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) process.

Create and approve Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for engineering releases.

Implement common solutions across product models in collaboration with component/system leads and other Product Engineers.

Perform and approve design calculations to meet technical and safety requirements.

Lead cost reduction and assembly optimization projects.

Lead and assign tasks to a team of design engineers.

Collaborate with remote resources and contractors to meet project demands.

Conduct site visits to mines for application studies and customer feedback.

Maintain product line option lists and configurations.

Ensure adherence to Sandvik's safety management program. Required Skills and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

5+ years' experience in product engineering or similar role.

Knowledge of mobile industrial equipment-preferably drilling equipment.

Proficient in CAD software (e.g., UG/NX, MEDUSA).

Experience with PDM systems (e.g., TeamCenter).

Strong understanding of steel fabrications, manufacturing techniques, and assembly processes.

Familiarity with bolted and welded component assembly tools.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication skills in English, with proven leadership abilities.
