The Role

We're looking for thoughtful, hardworking, creative engineers who thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. As a Product Engineer, you'll build core features and own large product areas across our mobile and web apps while helping scale and refine the systems that power them. We're NY- and LA-based with a hybrid in-person model (in the office 3 days a week). Our stack is React (web app), React Native (mobile app), Node.js, and Typescript.

What you'll do:

Build end-to-end features across our web and mobile apps - from design to launch

Ship high-impact technical improvements to scale performance, speed, and reliability

Move quickly and adapt as priorities evolve in a dynamic product environment

Help prioritize features and projects based on data, user feedback, and company goals

Write thoughtful product requirements and technical design documents

Meet with users to get real product signal and feedback

Work closely with our designers to craft thoughtful UX/UI

Collaborate with our community team to understand how our product is being used

Take full ownership of large product areas as you grow

Help drive improvements in code quality, velocity, and engineering best practices

Mentor (and be mentored by) other high-performing engineers

2-11 years of full-time software engineering experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with a track record of seeing projects through from idea to impact

Strong product intuition and a bias toward action

Ability to elegantly structure and decomp complex features

Detail orientation and a track record of shipping high-quality code quickly

Appreciation for beautiful, user-centered design

Strong work ethic

Resourcefulness and creativity when faced with ambiguity or constraints

A love of tackling complex, demanding challenges head-on

Deep sense of ownership and dedication to delivering ambitious outcomes on fast timelines

The anticipated annual salary for this position is $140,000 - $200,000, plus a generous equity package. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible (other benefits listed above). The actual salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
