We are looking for a Firmware & API Developer to join our R&D Hardware team, supporting embedded firmware development and interfacing with the software team through robust and high-performance APIs.
The successful candidate will work on complex embedded systems with real-time operating systems, contributing to the technological evolution of our distributed monitoring products.
Your role
Development and maintenance of APIs for interfacing between hardware and software application layer
Embedded firmware development on RTOS platforms (ThreadX)
You will develop of C/C++ PC applications for firmware and hardware testing, debugging, and validation
Creation of tools for data management and collection, implementation of test protocols
You will manage the communication and integration between firmware and software systems
Collaboration with the hardware team to optimize system performance
Firmware debugging and testing on embedded targets
Technical documentation of APIs, communication protocols, and firmware architectures
Support to the software team in the integration of developed APIs
Your experience
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent
Proven experience in embedded firmware development
Strong knowledge of C and C++ for both embedded and desktop/PC applications
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), preferably ThreadX
Python knowledge for API development
Ability to develop testing tools and applications for firmware/hardware validation
Familiarity with ARM Cortex architectures and STM32 microcontrollers
Experience using debugging tools (JTAG, embedded debuggers)
Knowledge of main communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, CAN)
Experience with Xilinx FPGAs (Zynq)
Knowledge of API frameworks (REST, gRPC)
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Knowledge of signal processing techniques applied to monitoring systems
Experience in industrial or critical infrastructure environments
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams (hardware, firmware, software, mechanics)
Problem-solving and analytical aptitude
Good communication skills to interface with different technical stakeholders
Proactivity and autonomy in activity management
Passion for technological innovation.
