SummaryWe are looking for a Backend Developer to strengthen the ESET PROTECT platform, focusing on backend services for our Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities. The role is primarily backend-focused, with close collaboration across teams to ensure smooth end-to-end functionality.

ESET PROTECT operates in five data centers across regions and supports thousands of deployed instances globally, with additional scale through Managed Security Service Providers (MMSP). You will work on backend services running in a multi-region cloud environment with production-grade reliability requirements.

What You’ll Do

Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs supporting CWP and CSPM features.

Work with event-driven components and microservices architecture in a multi-region environment.

Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions within the team.

Collaborate with system architects and other teams when defining cross-service integrations and contributing to design decisions.

Own the full lifecycle of the services you build — development, CI/CD, infrastructure configuration, deployment, and maintenance.

Work in an Agile setup (SAFe), actively participating in planning and team collaboration.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with backend development (.NET, C#, or similar).

Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices.

Understanding of asynchronous communication and messaging systems.

Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases.

Experience with C++, or willingness and ability to learn and work with it where needed (parts of the platform are written in C++).

Nice to Have

Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or others.

Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Event Hubs, or others).

Familiarity with Helm, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code tools.

Experience working in SAFe or a similar Agile framework.

Basic wage component (brutto): from 3000 EUR/month (brutto)

*Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).

*The final basic wage component can be higher accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
