About the Role:

As an Interpreter at Maude L. Whatley Health Center, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients who have limited English proficiency. You will be responsible for accurately interpreting medical information and instructions, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Your work will contribute to the overall success of the healthcare team and the satisfaction of our patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Fluency in English and Spanish

Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a healthcare setting

Familiarity with electronic medical records systems

Responsibilities:

Provide accurate interpretation services for patients and healthcare providers during medical appointments, procedures, and consultations

Translate medical documents and instructions as needed

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting

Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and understanding of medical information

As an Interpreter, you will use your language proficiency and interpreting skills to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients. You will need to be able to accurately interpret medical terminology and instructions, while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards. In addition, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
