About the Role

SteerBridge Strategies is seeking an experience Software Engineer to support our F-35 modernization initiative. This role is pivotal in advancing the next generation of aviation technology by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions that enhance the operational capabilities of the world's most advanced fighter platform. You'll be part of a highly skilled engineering team committed to reliability, agility, and innovation in support of the mission.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of microservices, APIs, and responsive front-ends integrated with complex systems.

Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Agile methodologies to ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance.

Participate in architecture and design discussions, offering technical input and learning from senior engineers.

Implement/Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation for scalable deployments across AWS environments.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, perform peer code reviews, and ensure quality standards across all development efforts.

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and mission teams to deliver high-value, integrated software solutions.

Assist in the development/refinement of data models and workflows-performing problem scoping, data cleaning, analysis, and testing.

Support compliance with cybersecurity and RMF/ATO requirements to maintain operational integrity and security standards.

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

4-6 years of full-stack software engineering experience in complex, production environments.

Proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

Experience working with MERN/PERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

Experience developing and deploying applications using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.

Familiarity with Docker, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and CI/CD integration.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

$125,000 - $140,000 a year

A salary commensurate with experience and qualifications will be offered.
