Clubhouse Grille & Morningside Event Center General Manager
GENERAL PUPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Alcester Clubhouse Grille and Morningside Event Center, ensuring profitability, exceptional service, and efficient operations
To oversee the Clubhouse Grille/Event Center in a manner that promotes the business and increases revenue consistently while staying in budget
Personnel are asked to come to work each day looking for ways to make the Clubhouse Grille & Event Center look nicer, neater, cleaner, and more organized and in good repair
SCOPE OF THIS POSITION:
Oversee daily operations of the full-service restaurant, bar, and event center
Coordinate activities with the golf course superintendent during the golf season to ensure seamless operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage servers, bartenders, and cooks.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Track and manage inventory levels for the kitchen and bar, ensuring accuracy and consistency in ordering.
Market and coordinate events for up to 275 guests, including weddings, banquets, and corporate events.
Work closely with clients to ensure successful event planning and execution.
Work closely with Lead cook on ordering food and maintaining appropriate inventory
Maintain facility social media
Collect golf course membership dues, cart space rentals and all other fees
Assist the staff whenever needed
Transfer all monies to city office in a timely manner
Coordinate community-based activities, fundraisers, etc
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL ABILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE:
Proven experience in hospitality or food service management, including experience with full-service restaurants, bars, and event planning.
Knowledge of inventory management, marketing, and revenue generation.
Knowledge of small office equipment, Microsoft office suite, Square POS
General knowledge of budgeting and revenue/expense benchmarks
SKILLS:
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to greet & treat customers professionally
Ability to maintain a cash drawer
Ability to handle conflict resolution according to personnel manual and city policy and ordinance

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
SERV safe certification required or will need to be obtained within 60 days of employment
Experience in event planning and marketing a plus
Availability/Benefits:
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Hourly wage dependent on experience
City-paid health insurance for the employee.

Compensation
DOE per hour
