CONCENTRATE MAKER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including, but not limited to, the following:

Daily operations and CIP of liquefier, tanks/silos, batch pasteurizer tank, all processing lines, pumps, and packaging system.

Monitor batch pasteurization to ensure proper time and temperature.

Responsible for producing and packaging product that meets all composition and quality requirements according to the product batch sheet.

Keeps current on existing raw material supply and pulls liquid from proper silos.

Keep daily log of enzyme and packaging inventory. Report inventory levels to Shift Supervisor and Assistant Plant Manager.

Proper record-keeping and maintenance of hourly operating logs, charts, batch sheets, lot numbers and checklists.

Tests batches for titratable acidity, total solids, fat content, salt and any tests needed.

Communicate and coordinate batches with the Shift Supervisor or Assistant Plant Manager.

Must be able to assemble and disassemble equipment as needed.

Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

Complies with plant regulations concerning GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety rules and work rules, and loss control procedures.

Coordinate work and/or clean-up with co-workers.

Perform routine maintenance and/or help maintenance personnel when necessary.

Unloading of incoming raw materials.

Keep processing, packaging, and cooler storage area clean.

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, climbing ladders and stairs, and carrying up to 85 pounds.

Environmental Demands: Noise levels above 85 DBA. Hot and cold working conditions.
