Job Title: DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote (U.S.) Must work EST hours candidates only

Duration: 12 Month Contract-to-Hire

Eligibility: W2 only – Open to US Citizens, Green Card Holders (C2C not allowed)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure while improving the overall software delivery experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying product updates, automating infrastructure, implementing integrations, and troubleshooting production issues. This role requires close collaboration with development teams to ensure high availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency across cloud-based systems.

The DevOps Engineer will work extensively with Amazon Web Services and modern DevOps tools to support CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and infrastructure as code initiatives.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies

• AWS services (EKS, ECS, API Gateway, CloudWatch)

• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation

• CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins)

• Configuration management: Ansible, Packer

• Monitoring and observability: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana

• Scripting: Python, Bash

• Linux operating systems

• Relational databases: SQL / PostgreSQL

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools

• Understanding of computer hardware, software systems, and IT architectures

• Knowledge of design techniques and principles used in system modeling and analysis

• Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and adapt
