Job Description
IDS is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead, oversee, and execute complex, large-scale programs supporting government and defense missions. This role is responsible for full lifecycle program leadership, including resource planning, milestone execution, cost management, personnel supervision, stakeholder coordination, and alignment with organizational and mission priorities. The Program Manager will apply proven methodologies and strong leadership principles to guide diverse teams, subcontractors, and multifunctional efforts in support of high-visibility programs.
Key Duties
• Plan, direct, and manage methodologies and program operations, ensuring effective manpower utilization, compliance with standards, training execution, and overall performance optimization.
• Lead problem resolution efforts, manage employee relations (including subcontractor personnel), and oversee cost, budget, and schedule performance.
• Supervise and guide employees across various labor categories and skill levels.
• Coordinate with Service Headquarters and/or DoD leadership to ensure program objectives and mission requirements are achieved.
• Develop and maintain program schedules, resource plans, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and reporting deliverables.
• Ensure program activities meet quality, security, and contractual requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing timely briefs, updates, and decision-support materials.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific, technical, management, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience:
• Planning, directing, and managing complex projects and operations of similar size and complexity, including manpower utilization, standards, training, problem resolution, employee relations, cost, budget, and milestone management.
• Managing and supervising employees across diverse labor categories and skill levels.
• Working with Service Headquarters and/or DoD leadership.
• TOP SECRET/SCI clearance required.
