Position Summary:

We are looking for a Laser Operator to join our Reno fabrication shop. This role is responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machines to produce sheet metal components that meet high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Mazak, Mitsubishi)

Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and job orders

Ensure accuracy and quality of cut parts through measurement and inspection

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines

Maintain a safe and organized work area

Collaborate with shop staff and supervisors to meet production goals

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment

Maintaining the Mitsubishi equipment

Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measuring tools

Basic knowledge of CNC software and computer operation

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight tolerances

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in sheet metal fabrication or roofing component manufacturing

Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar programs

Forklift certification a plus
