DevOps Engineer Infrastructure & Platform Operations

Our Platform & Operations team manages the company’s global infrastructure and services that support high-traffic web and mobile applications. We are a cross-functional, data-driven organization working with teams across multiple countries, including Japan, Singapore, India, and China.

The team consists of highly skilled and motivated DevOps engineers who collaborate to maintain reliable and scalable systems.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and proactive DevOps Engineer with strong experience in both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will help ensure stable, high-performing infrastructure and automate operational processes, contributing to the delivery of multiple large-scale services.

This role provides an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and to be part of a global, multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Support the full lifecycle of development and production systems, including maintenance, monitoring, automation, backend operations, and troubleshooting. Ensure high availability and timely application releases.

Automate routine production and non-production tasks using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, and similar technologies.

Continuously improve system performance, stability, and reliability.

Take ownership of services and proactively respond to production incidents.

Evaluate and propose new technologies and tools to improve operations, development, and testing processes.

Collaborate with developers, project managers, security, and QA teams across multiple locations.

Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability of systems.

Plan and execute cloud migration strategies and infrastructure setup.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Over 5 years of experience on DevOps, handling high traffic production system independently.

- Troubleshooting (middleware, infra etc.), automation, regular operation etc. Hands on with the large and scalable system.

- Experience in cloud preferably GCP, able to understand VPC setup and resource provisioning using Terraform.

- Experience in production automation using Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, Terraform etc. Should have real experience in implementation of automation using industry standard best practice, safety.

- Good knowledge in CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins and GIT and Monitoring Systems like Prometheus and Grafana.

- Flexible for emergency support timing based on the business requirement, including Non-Business hour emergency support for critical issues.

Desired Qualifications:

- Experienced in Hybrid Architecture, Managing GCP & on prem VM workloads.

- Strong scripting knowledge like Shell, Python etc.

- Understanding of web application and related specification (security, HTTP protocol, RFC etc.).

- Identify process gaps and recommend on best practices based on industry standards.
