Pitney Bowes is now hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Warehouse **Presort Associate 1** in our Grove City, OH facility.
**3rd shift** : 10pm - 6am Monday - Friday
**Base Rate:** 15.50/hr
$2.00/hr additional for 3rd shift
**You Are:**
An individual who enjoys a fast paced, physical production environment while developing new skills in the mailing industry. You are a hard-working and vital contributor to our company’s success in meeting productivity standards and customer satisfaction ratings.
**Presorter**
+ Prepare outgoing permitand metered mail by reviewing proper date, postage, andgood qualitybarcodes prior to being placed into production
+ Ensure that the mail is reviewed for proper dates, over weights, verification of zip codes, and that mail is not stuck together
+ Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes found in the mail &/or packages
+ Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machine
+ Understand zip code USPS labels and Matching bin numbers on machines to tray numbers
+ Assure the sorter equipment and other equipment used to run and prepare mail are running properly
**Dispatch**
+ Understand USPS labels and preparation requirements for stacking and preparing sorted mail
+ SleevingMail, process By-PassMailandseparate mail asrequired
+ Assistwith inbound and outbound processing of mail &/or packages
+ Coordinatewithdrivers to ensure all deliveries are completed and on time
+ Remain informed of acceptance times andmonitors drivers coming into the facility and leaving the facility for the Post Office to ensure they are meeting scheduled route times
+ Repetitive heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling pallets weighing over 600 lbs.utilizinga pallet jack
+ Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customersregardingorders to be picked up
+ Sign for deliveries that come to the dock and deliver to theappropriate department/person
**General** ** **
+ Mustpossessand maintain current certifications as outlined for Presort Academy
+ Monitor the quality of the mail &/or packages prior to processing and before dispatching
+ Follow QMS (Quality Management Systems) practices and policies toassurequality of output by double checking the date, weight, thickness, barcodes, presort slug, indicia, postage rate, class of mail,etc.
+ Assistwith inbound and outbound processing of mail &/or packages
+ Remain informed of acceptance times and when trucks must leave
+ Assure mail &/or packages is prepared to meet SLAs (Service Level Agreement)
+ Promote a clean work area to preventpossible injuriesand/or tripping hazards to self and others
+ Perform alladditionalduties asrequired
**Your Background** :
+ Must have current work experience at Pitney Bowes as aPresorterorin Dispatch
+ The ability to be dependable and reliable
+ Knowledge of the pre-sort mailing business is a plus
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Strongorganizationalskills
+ Strong customer service skills
+ The ability toliftupto50 lbs. with or withoutaccommodation
+ The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation
+ A basic enough understanding of English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespective of your native language
+ The ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice
