RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company seeks a project engineer, project geologist or environmental scientist in our Cheyenne, Wyoming location. The primary responsibility of this individual will be to provide a combination of engineering support services, as well as construction inspection and quality assurance/quality control services specific to mine reclamation. Travel will be associated with this position.Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in either engineering (civil, environmental, mining), geology, or environmental science

3 to 5 years of experience in abandoned mine lands related work with at least 1 year in the construction management field

Experience in ArcGIS Pro Software and other Esri products (field maps, ArcGIS Online)

A solid understanding of landscape and grading construction

Experience with topographic surveying and mapping techniques

Ability to provide construction oversight, inspections and any related documentation, and capable in the writing of construction specifications

Ability to travel and perform investigation/inspections of abandoned mine related features

Ability to operate All Terrain-Vehicles / Utility Terrain-Vehicles

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills

Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel

Preferred:

Experience in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD 3D software applications

Familiarity of Carlson Civil Suite and Natural Regrade software
