Job Title: SharePoint / Power Platform Developer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Candidates must be local to the Austin area)
Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid role supporting SOAH in Austin, TX.
Candidates must reside locally in the Austin area.
Services are expected during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated.
Some after-hours or weekend work may be required as requested.
Travel expenses, if any, must be pre-approved and comply with agency guidelines.
Position Overview:
SOAH is seeking a senior SharePoint / Power Platform Developer to design, develop, and deploy solutions that automate business processes, improve end-user productivity, and manage enterprise SharePoint Online environments.
The candidate will also support content migrations, PDF-to-Microsoft Forms conversions, and provide helpdesk support. This role involves mentoring and training junior developers and ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory governance standards.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI), and workflow automation in a public-sector or enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Power Platform
• Design, develop, and deploy Power Platform solutions to automate business processes.
• Convert existing PDF forms to Microsoft Forms, including redesign, building, and testing.
• Integrate Microsoft Forms with new or existing Power Automate Flows.
• Build, test, and maintain Power Automate Flows for repetitive task automation.
• Incorporate approval routing, email notifications, and SharePoint list integration into Flows.
• SharePoint Online
• Plan, design, and execute SharePoint Online intranet solutions, including HUB site development.
• Migrate content from Drupal CMS (v10.6.2 or higher) to SharePoint Online.
• Administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments (site collections, sites, libraries, lists, workflows).
• Manage SharePoint permissions, groups, and security configurations per best practices.
Other Duties
• Respond to helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot, and resolve SharePoint/Power Platform issues.
• Implement best practices for data integrity, security, and governance.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior developers and team members.
• Deliver end-user training, documentation, and adoption support.
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 5+ years developing and supporting Power Platform apps (Power Automate, Power BI).
• 5+ years using Power Automate Flows for process automation.
• 5+ years senior-level SharePoint development and administration experience.
• 5+ years managing enterprise SharePoint M365 online environments.
• 5+ years administering SharePoint Online (site creation, permissions, lists/libraries, workflow configuration).
• 5+ years experience with HTML/CSS and SharePoint design tools.
• Ability to gather requirements and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
• Strong understanding of custom workflows, lists, automation, and data integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 4+ years experience supporting enterprise users and content governance.
• Microsoft certifications in SharePoint Online and/or Power Platform.
• Prior experience with Texas State Agencies.
