Join our team as a Computer Technician and play a crucial role in supporting the technological infrastructure within our school district.

As a Computer Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computers, networks, and related equipment essential for facilitating effective teaching and learning experiences.

Job Goal: The Computer Technician has the responsibility to assist faculty with the daily operation of the district's computer, data, and telecommunications network and e-mail systems.

The Computer Technician will work cooperatively with district staff to ensure that appropriate services are available.

Qualifications: * Associate degree in computer science or equivalent work experience with computer systems.

* Three to five years of experience working with computers and networks.

Experience in educational organizations is strongly preferred.

* Experience with break/fix repair, software troubleshooting, hardware and software installation/upgrades.

* Experience with Google Apps or Google Apps for education, as well as ChromeOS * Ability to set priorities and work well under pressure with attention to detail.

* Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.

* Must be well organized, have good oral and written communication skills and a commitment to customer service.

* Valid Ohio driver's license and insured vehicle for onsite repairs.

* Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.

* Experience with Windows 7 and newer in a domain environment, as well as familiar with Windows Server 2003R2.

Reports to: Technology Specialists and Director of Academic Affairs & Business Operations Performance Responsibilities: * Participates in all phases of technological equipment repair services.

* Assists in the operation and maintenance of the district voice, video and data network.

Assists in the roll out of new equipment and recycling of old.

* Works cooperatively with the other Technicians.

* Installs, configures, maintains, and trouble-shoots assistive technology products and contacts assistive technology companies if technical support is needed.

* Provides technical assistance, training, and support in the use of alternate media and assistive computer technology to meet accessibility needs.

* Provides direct technical training and assistance to building computer support personnel.

* Develops and maintains professional, personal skills and knowledge of emerging technologies necessary to execute the functions of a Computer Technician.

* Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.

Conduct: Each staff member shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

Each staff member shall serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as responsible citizens.

Terms of Employment: 260 Days-12 month contract; 8 hours per day excluding lunch; vacation days and salary determined by board policy and experience.

Work year to be established by the Board of Education.

Evaluation: Performance of the responsibilities will be evaluated annually by the superintendent or his designee.
