As a Full-Time Construction Foreman at JL Construction Corp in Springfield, MA, you'll play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating daily construction site operations. Your responsibilities will include managing crew activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. You'll also have the opportunity to operate construction equipment and engage in general construction site work, allowing you to leverage your hands-on skills while leading a team. To excel as a Full-Time Construction Foreman at JL Construction Corp, you must possess a high school diploma or GED and an OSHA 10 Certification, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in excavation or horizontal construction. The ability to interpret project and construction documents is essential, as is a strong understanding of local quality, safety, and health regulations for construction job sites in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and a quick adaptability to learn industry-specific software programs will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Additionally, exceptional organizational and communication skills are critical for coordinating your crew and ensuring smooth operations. A willingness to travel locally to various job sites is also necessary, enabling you to oversee projects effectively and maintain our commitment to excellence and safety in every aspect of our work.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

High School Diploma or GED

OSHA 10 Certification

3+years of relevant experience in the field of excavation/horizontal construction

Ability to interpret project/construction documents

Knowledge of local quality, safety and health regulations for construction job sites (MA/ CT)

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn industry-specific software programs quickly

Must possess exceptional organizational and communication skills
