Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating a computer-based CNC machine that cuts and etches leathers and upholstery for various furniture padding, including cushions, pillows, and trims. The role requires a strong prior experience in CAD, blueprint reading, and computer programs that demonstrate design on screen, which will then be used to mimic and program machine operations.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines for cutting and etching leather and upholstery.
Utilize CAD and blueprint reading skills to interpret designs.
Program and manipulate machine operations based on design requirements.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Participate in assembly, fitting, and tape measure tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
High level of computer and technical skills.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and CAD design.
Experience with industrial sewing and machine operations.

Work Environment
The work environment is very clean and well-lit, with processes starting in drill press for raw materials and moving through welding, grinding, paint line, QC process, and final assembly. There is a dedicated sewing area for handcrafting cushions. The role is initially on day shift for training, transitioning to a second shift role with potential hours from 2-10 or 3-11.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
