RSU5 DURHAM-FREEPORT-POWNAL Extended School Year Special Education Teachers 2025-2026 Freeport High School RSU5 is seeking caring, enthusiastic and energetic Special Education Teachers for our Summer 2026 Extended School Year (ESY) Program. The ESY program serves eligible students with academic, cognitive, social-emotional and/or adaptive needs, who require an extended program to support maintenance of skills and prevent regression. Special Education Teachers will be responsible for overseeing and implementing instruction that addresses the goals and objectives outlined by the students' IEP team. Data collection is required and an ESY progress update must be completed for each student. The Special Education Teachers will be responsible for managing the classroom programming and schedules for students, Educational Technicians and communicating with families. ESY will run from July 6th-July 30th, 2026 Monday through Thursday 8:00 ï 11:00 ESY Programs will be located at FHS Requirements: Must hold a valid Teacher certification from ME Dept. of Education.
