Job Description*:

(Apigee + Java Skill Set) Engineer

We are looking for a highly proficient Apigee Developer with strong Java expertise to design, develop, and manage API solutions on the Apigee API Management platform.

#Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Extensive hands on experience in API design, API security, and the Apigee platform (Edge, Hybrid, or X).

• Strong proficiency in Apigee development, including building and managing API proxies, shared flows, and custom policies.

• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipeline using gitlab / Jenkins/ teamcity.

• Solid programming experience in Java, along with frameworks like Spring Boot and core Spring modules (Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.).

• Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, standards, and best practices.

• Exposure to AWS cloud services and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an added advantage.

• Ability to create and maintain API policies covering security, traffic management, throttling, and rate limiting.

• Expertise in implementing API security standards such as OAuth, JWT, and other authentication/authorization protocols.

• Ensure adherence to industry security norms to safeguard data and prevent unauthorized access.

• Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting using Apigee’s native capabilities or integrated third party tools.

• Provide support during the development lifecycle by troubleshooting and resolving API related issues.

• Strong experience integrating APIs with backend systems, including knowledge of API versioning, and familiarity with data formats like JSON and XML, as well as web service standards.
