Job Description
Step into a pivotal Licensed Practical Nurse role in Long-Term Care, where every shift offers the chance to brighten lives and uphold the dignity of residents who depend on steady hands and attentive hearts. This opportunity in Plattsburgh, New York, places you at the heart of a caring community, where your clinical skills meet empathy, teamwork, and ongoing growth. As you help residents manage chronic conditions, prevent complications, and maintain daily routines, you’ll see how your expertise contributes to comfort, safety, and quality of life. And beyond the facility walls, New York’s landscapes beckon—crisp mornings by Lake Champlain, the Adirondack foothills inviting weekend explorations, and towns rich with culture, cuisine, and history.
Location benefits extend beyond a single facility. Plattsburgh offers a welcoming, small-city atmosphere with access to outdoor recreation, affordable living, and a lifestyle that values work-life balance. You’ll benefit from the chance to immerse yourself in a close-knit care team while enjoying the region’s natural beauty and regional amenities. For many LPNs, the program also provides the possibility to work across various locations in the United States, broadening your clinical experience, sharpening adaptability, and expanding your professional network. Whether you’re returning to familiar settings or exploring new communities, you’ll discover advantages unique to each location—from different patient populations to evolving care models—while maintaining the consistency of high-quality long-term care you provide.

Participate in care conferences, ensure accurate charting and communication with families, and maintain safety protocols to prevent falls and infections. Support rehabilitation and mobility goals, respond to clinical changes, and provide compassionate end-of-life care as part of a holistic care team.
- Professional growth: This role offers clear pathways for advancement within the long-term care specialty, with on-the-job training, mentorship from experienced clinicians, and access to continuing education opportunities designed to expand clinical competencies and leadership capabilities.
- Benefits: Competitive weekly pay of $1,818-$1,924. The program also includes housing assistance, potential sign-on or completion bonuses, and extension opportunities on contracts to meet evolving facility needs.
