Reporting to the Credit Risk Reporting Manager, the successful incumbent is required to manage the process of designing and generating business intelligence reports to generate analytical and quantitative insight and support to the business for improved operational, tactical and strategic decisions
The individual will be responsible for the following amongst other deliverables:
Conducting deep dive on Portfolio’s performance data as well as extracting and interpreting data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and project a financial probability to identity trends and match opportunities for growth, retention and acquisition
Monthly and ad- hoc portfolio management reporting
Usage of data and analytical insights to draw up credit departmental strategic and operational KPI’s and tracking and monitoring of these KPI’s
Ensure alignment and reconciliations between credit source systems, risk engines, finance, and regulatory outputs for data integrity and accurate reporting (BCBS 239)
Implement data quality controls to meet audit, model risk, and regulatory expectations.
Conducting credit bureau data submissions and projects
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in: Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer science, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 2- 3 years in a Banking Industry
Competencies & Skills:
SAS, R, SQL coding skills and PowerBI proficiency
Business acumen/commercial awareness
Ability to wok with very large, granular datasets
Written and verbal communication
Time management - capable of meeting tight deadlines
Analytical thinking and Problem solving
Presentation of insights to senior management
Results and service orientated
