Production Operator / Manufacturing Associate in Des Moines, IA

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts (3 days on 4 days off)

6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Rotating schedule, including weekends as required

$18/hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Production Operator to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for safely operating equipment, assembling and packaging ingredients, following strict quality and safety standards, and supporting sanitation and production goals. Must have 2 years production experience reflected on resume.

Key Responsibilities

Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations at all times

Operate production machinery and automated equipment

Pack, assemble, and handle product ingredients according to specifications

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality and consistency

Perform department sanitation and cleaning duties

Identify and report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance

Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues as needed

Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts (training provided if needed)

Use computer systems for production tracking and daily work activities

Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

2+ years of manufacturing or production experience preferred (strong candidates with less experience will be considered)

Must be 18 years of age or older

Reliable attendance and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts

Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check

Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment

Willingness to assist with other duties as needed

Safety & Work Environment

Strict adherence to safety policies and procedures is required

PPE must be worn in designated areas, including:

Hard-toe safety shoes

Safety glasses

Hearing protection

Respirator (when required)

Manufacturing environment may include noise, dust, and exposure to industrial equipment
