Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer (EIT) to join our Civil Engineering team. This role involves working on a variety of water resources and site development projects, focusing on stormwater management, floodplain modeling, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform Floodway/Floodplain Modeling and Run-Off Calculations
• Develop Erosion Control and Stabilization Plans
• Prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and manage NPDES Permitting
• Design Post Construction Water Quality Systems
• Conduct FEMA Mapping and Map Revisions
• Complete Pipe and Culvert Design and Analysis
• Ensure compliance with ODNR Dam Safety standards
• Calculate Inlet Spacing for Curb Inlets
• Design Detention and Retention Basins and Underground Storm Water Storage Systems
• Perform Environmental Studies/Assessments
• Prepare Detailed Grading Plans and Earthwork Balance
• Design and permit Sanitary Sewer Systems
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Strong understanding of water resources and stormwater design principles
Preferred Skills
• Proficiency in HydroCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, PondPack, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
