Schedule: Monday-Friday, office hours, on-site
Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000 annually

Position Summary
The Materials Team Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical purchasing initiatives to support supply chain operations. This role provides leadership to the inventory team while ensuring supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement across material planning and procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support supply chain and order management activities to drive operational efficiency and material availability.
Lead, mentor, and develop the inventory team, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, standard work, cycle counting practices, and part planning processes.
Maintain accurate supplier and purchase order data within ERP systems; update and manage master data as required.
Proactively resolve supply disruptions and implement supplier risk mitigation strategies.
Lead supplier performance recovery efforts, including internal reviews and direct supplier delivery performance discussions.
Support supplier negotiations and manage mitigation of potential price increases.
Coordinate supplier and production readiness for new product launches in collaboration with R&D and cross-functional teams.
Review new parts and execute launch readiness initiatives to ensure seamless production integration.
Drive supply chain and inventory optimization efforts to improve material flow, reduce waste, and increase value.
Manage inventory turns and negotiate minimum order quantities (MOQs) to optimize working capital.
Assist with forecasting purchasing trends and material requirements.
Analyze current processes, recommend improvements, and influence organizational change to enhance operational effectiveness.
Manage assigned supplier accounts to ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and service expectations are met.
Oversee end-of-life processes and ensure inventory accuracy and disposition.
Build and maintain strong, long-term vendor relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
Materials & Equipment Used
Computers, printers, and standard office equipment.
Work Environment
Approximately 90% office environment.
Approximately 10% manufacturing floor (clean, low to moderate noise); safety glasses and PPE required as applicable.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Associate's degree preferred.
2-5 years of relevant supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong computer proficiency, including:
Microsoft Office Suite
Epicor (ERP)
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Travel Requirements
Up to 5% travel to local suppliers.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. for short periods.
