Job Title: Material Handler I Job Function: Warehouse / Manufacturing Reports To: Logistics Supervisor Location: Newark, CA Job Overview: The Material Handler I is responsible for supporting Warehouse, Manufacturing, and Planning teams in the fulfillment of daily production schedules.
This role involves physical handling of materials, performing kit pulls, moving inventory, and assisting with deliveries or pickups.
The Material Handler ensures timely material flow to support production, maintains proper documentation, and follows all safety protocols.
Primary Job Responsibilities: 1.
Perform order fulfillment and physical material tasks: * Execute kit pulls and move materials according to Warehouse, Planning, and Manufacturing requirements.
* Assist in backfilling material shortages and ensure uninterrupted production workflow.
* Operate carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts to move material safely and efficiently.
* Drive company vehicles for deliveries and pickups as needed.
* Assist with loading and unloading shipments.

Maintain inventory accuracy and documentation: * Record material movements and verify quantities per pick lists or work instructions.
* Ensure proper labeling and placement of materials in storage areas.
* Support periodic cycle counts and inventory audits as required.

Provide team support: * Share best practices with peers to improve efficiency.
* Assist in minor troubleshooting related to material handling and storage.
* Actively participate in cross-training to support flexibility across warehouse functions.
4.
Safety and compliance: * Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and vehicle operation protocols.
* Adhere to ESD, material handling, and warehouse safety guidelines.
Other Duties: * Perform additional material handling tasks and support activities as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor.
Required Education and Experience: * High school diploma or GED.
* Minimum one year of related experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing support.
* Familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and basic warehouse equipment is preferred.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic computer skills for recording and tracking material movements.
Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
* Physical capability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
