Laundry Supervisor

Description

DUTIES/TASKS:

Assists as directed in controlling financial objectives as set out by the established labor standards for the Housekeeping/Laundry department.

Directs the activities of the laundry department, and ensures the laundry is being completed.

Schedules Laundry Attendant hours based off resort occupancy.

Communicates all maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate individuals.

Distributes daily workload to laundry attendants.

Ensures good safety practices of employees and properly working machines.

Is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, neatness and good repair of all laundry equipment.

Supervises the training and motivation of the laundry staff.

This position reports directly and closely with the Housekeeping Manager.

This is a hands on supervisor roll and you will be expected to complete normal laundry attendant duties as well.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION: General high school education or better preferred. Must speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.

PHYSICAL: Requires bending, stooping, climbing, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, grasping, carrying, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, writing and good verbal skills. On occasion may be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
