SUMMARY
The Pump Truck Operator will drive, setup, operate, learn, train, and tear down the equipment at various well sites. Performs operator-level maintenance on pumps as well as keeping equipment and surrounding area clean of trash or spills. Work a rotation schedule that includes both Day and night shifts at various times in all weather conditions including weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to maintain fluid levels, change filters on pumps
Maintain a work area that is clean of trash and spills, fixing leaks - housekeeping in all aspects
Must keep tools accounted for and clean and in working order (hammers, pipe wrenches, etc.)
Carrying and laying out hoses and joints of pipe from the truck to the wellhead
Rig up/down equipment, operate equipment associated with pumping processes, run data cables
Following safe operating procedures according to specifications of jobs and equipment specifications of loads and equipment especially when moving from location to location or back to yard
Able to operate a Forklift and manlift safely at all times
Work well with others - be a team player
Willing to learn and be trained on aspects of job (Rig up, pump control, knowing flow direction of fluid)
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum one year experience in oil field service industry is preferred
Knowledge of heavy, diesel-powered truck operations including federal, state, and local regulations
Must know how to operate a computer laptop or tablet and knowledge of Microsoft products such as Outlook/exchange(email) and Word, Excel (writing tickets, compiling data)
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, push, pull or lift for extended times
Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent of understanding verbal/written directions and giving verbal/written instructions in English
Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to make job related calculations
Valid, active Commercial Driver's License and a clean driving record is preferred
Must be proficient in driving Manual Transmission Tractors with Trailers
Driver will be required to pass a road test proving proficiency on driving required equipment
COMPUTER
Basic knowledge of MS Office preferred
