Job Summary

We have an opening for a Senior Quality Engineer in our Quality Engineering Department! This individual will serve as a key resource on all quality requirements, processes, procedures, issues, investigations, etc.

Responsibilities:

Assist Quality Management with leading key continuous improvement quality type projects

Ability to apply statistical methods to collect data, analyze, interpret, and summarize the information in order to increase production efficiency

Works directly with external and internal customers to address and resolve questions, concerns, requirements, complaints, and rejects

Collaborates with multiple departments on quality issues, addresses them with urgency, and drives corrective actions to implementation and verification

Supports the inspection department, internal investigations and dispositioning of material

Conducts internal audits, customer audits, customer visits, and supplier audits as necessary

Other duties as needed and assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a mechanical or industrial engineering required

Minimum 5 - 8 years+ of work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Automotive, aerospace, medical production experience in quality preferred

Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AS 9100, and other Quality standards and procedures

Experience with PPAPs, FMEAs, QMS, EMS, Continuous Improvement, and Audits required

Ability to use statistical tools and methods to analyze data, make determinations, and provide direction to management

Used tools like correlation, regression, gage R&R, process capability, statistical process control, analysis of variance

Experience with statistical process control to improve manufacturing capability

Strong corrective action background with problem-solving skills and root cause analysis

Experience facilitating team in use of structured problem-solving tools such as fishbone, 5-Why, and similar

Ability to project manage multiple key quality type projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Automotive, aerospace, medical production experience in quality preferred

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis

Preferred:

Automotive, aerospace, medical production experience in quality

Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AS 9100, and other Quality standards and procedures

Experience with APQP, PPAP's, FMEA's, and Control Plans

Conducted Internal QMS Audits

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $92,500 to $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
