Electrician

Columbus Brick, a division of General Shale Brick, is seeking an Electrician for our manufacturing facility in Columbus, MS. This position is hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include:

Understanding and applying technical diagrams

Using various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools

Installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, conduit, breakers and other electrical devices

Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems

Adhering to state and local building regulations

Completing work orders on time

Documenting the work completed and materials used

Working with other electricians, general contractors, architects and other team members

Applicants should possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of:

Motor Control Circuits

Variable Frequency Drives

An Associate's Degree in electrical or related field with experience in an industrial electrical environment

Must be willing to work after hours and on an on-call rotation
