Job Title : Snowflake Administrator

Location: Onsite (Hybrid) in McLean, VA on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Duration : 6 to 12 Months

Must have solid experience as a Snowflake administrator and experience in SQL scripting.

Experience in Dremio is nice to have. Candidate will be providing Dremio related support as the team handles Dremio as well. Training will be imparted if candidate does not have Dremio experience.

Scripting languages: JavaScript, Python nice to have.

Python programming: nice to have but not required.

Integration of Snowflake to Hashi Corp Vault, CyberArk, Keychain are nice to haves

Day to day: Level 3 support for Snowflake. Helping users with production support tickets and rolling out new features (when they are available) for public to use. Rollout of new features include intake, testing features in non-prod environment, preparing for production deployment and production deployment.

Certifications in Snowflake, AWS: not required.

Must Haves: Experience with Snowflake administration. Be able to Identify the various aspects of compute and storage management in Snowflake, llustrate administrative tasks within the detailed architecture of Snowflake, employ recovery methods and agile development with Time Travel & Cloning, describe the DDL operations that work with fundamental database objects, use account-level replication for failover scenarios.

Required Skills:

Experience with Snowflake administration.

Be able to Identify the various aspects of compute and storage management in Snowflake.

Illustrate administrative tasks within the detailed architecture of Snowflake.

Employ recovery methods and agile development with Time Travel & Cloning.

Describe the DDL operations that work with fundamental database objects.

Use account-level replication for failover scenarios.

Nice to Haves:

Experience with Python programming skill.

Experience with Keychain, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, PingID and Active Directory.

Experience with AWS (S3, Route53, Lambda, Cloudwatch).

Experience with deployment and supporting production systems.

Experience with Dremio.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field.

Detailed driven, Strong, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on in-depth experience of AWS Data Pipelines development and implementation is required.

AWS Associate or Professional level certifications is a plus
