As a Workplace Operations Program Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, Workplace Operations, you'll drive San Francisco HQ's daily operations-triaging tickets, optimizing vendor relationships, and collaborating on food programs and company events.
You'll design engagement initiatives, improve our onsite playbook, and refine policies keeping our office running smoothly.

What you'll be doing * Oversee vendor relationships and service delivery across San Francisco HQ, managing SLA performance, troubleshooting issues, and presenting optimization recommendations while ensuring budget alignment * Design and implement employee engagement programs that strengthen company culture, enhance workplace satisfaction, and creating moments of surprise and delight that reflect Discord's values * Manage food, beverage, and pantry programs by monitoring usage, identifying improvements, and scaling operations to support growth while balancing experience with budget * Own daily workplace operations and employee support, responding to tickets, serving as an approachable resource, and evolving our operations playbook to ensure a safe, inclusive environment * Develop and iterate workplace policies and processes that maximize operational efficiency * Collaborate with cross-functional partners including People, IT, Facilities, Security, and Finance, clearly communicating complex concepts and adjusting messaging based on stakeholder needs * Partner with Internal Events, Employee Experience, and other XFN partners to execute company events including all-hands and onsites, delivering mid-size projects with minimal guidance What you should have * 5+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities management, or office management, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments * Vendor management expertise including contract negotiation, SLA evaluation, and strategic service provider partnerships * Strong project management skills with experience executing multi-month projects independently and delivering results with minimal oversight * Budget management experience aligning operational spending with financial targets while maintaining quality employee experience * Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with ability to influence peers and navigate complex stakeholder relationships * Technical knowledge of workplace systems and how facilities, furniture, and technologies integrate to support operations * Passion for employee experience and culture, with creative problem-solving and a track record of designing initiatives that build belonging This is a 9-month temporary position.
Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties). Relocation assistance may be available.
The annual US base salary range for this temporary full-time position is $124,000 - $139,500.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
