Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the mechanical and electrical integrity of our high-speed web offset press lines. You will be the primary responder for equipment breakdowns and the lead on preventative maintenance for large-scale presses (e.g., Goss, Heidelberg, Manroland). The ideal candidate is a "Multi-Craft" technician who can jump from a gearbox failure to a PLC sensor issue without hesitation. Relocation available for stellar candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Repair: Troubleshoot and repair complex drive trains, including cylinders, rollers, high-speed folders, and infeed units.

Fluid Power Maintenance: Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems responsible for web tension, braking, and automated plate loading.

Electrical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve faults in AC/DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and 24V DC control circuits.

Precision Alignment: Perform critical machine leveling and roller-to-roller pressure alignments to ensure print quality and prevent web breaks.

Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PMs, including lubrication, filter changes, and timing belt inspections, documented via CMMS.

System Support: Maintain auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, ink pumps, and automated palletizers.

Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures and NFPA 70E standards when working on energized equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience; specific experience in printing or continuous-web manufacturing is a significant advantage.

Technical Mastery:

Schematics: Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.

Diagnostics: Proficiency with multimeters and basic PLC software (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) to identify sensor or logic failures.

Tools: Expert use of precision measuring tools (calipers, dial indicators) and power tools.
