Sr. AWS Developer

Job Description

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Sr. AWS Developer to support the Federal Reserve Board. As part of a team, the selected contractor will help support the development and maintenance of the Currency Data Accountability Platform (CDAP), an application utilizing AWS serverless and cloud services. This is onsite in DC with no remote option. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science or related degree and 7 years of related experience

U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Working experience with Agile development methodology and roles along with experience utilizing CI/CD for building and deploying cloud applications with the Python language for backend services and Angular front-end development is important for this role.

Duties:

Write using Python code along with the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) required to deploy with AWS CDK.

Model business processes in AWS Step Functions.

Develop container-based applications, utilize REST APIs for web-based application written with either Angular or React in Typescript.

Utilize AWS CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for logging events and audit messages for operating in a highly regulated environment.

Responsible for remediation and unit testing of code when issues arise as part of application development and deployment process.

Contribute to the design of the code they will be responsible for implementing along with the required documentation.
