The case evaluator plays an essential role in ensuring the academic, professional, and personal success of students within our organization. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to the comprehensive development of students.
Provide technical, academic, social, and personal and professional development advice.
Collaborate with the Career Development Services System (CDSS) to maintain a safe and secure environment, prioritizing the well-being and professional growth of students.
Work closely with the Career Transition Readiness Program (CTR) to ensure the timely and appropriate placement of assigned students within the established service period, maximizing their potential for success.
Monitor and maintain the center's unauthorized absence (UA) percentage target, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the program.
Develop and implement comprehensive personal career development plans (PCDPs) for students, fostering responsibility and commitment to their career paths.
Review and update the Personal Career Development Plan (PCDP) every 60 days, ensuring its alignment with the student's progress and industry demands.
Facilitate strategic referrals of graduates to One-Stops, JTPA, and state employment agencies, increasing their job opportunities after the program.
Identify and coordinate with Career Transition Services (CTS) providers, making referrals when necessary to provide additional support.
Provide personalized and professional counseling, offering guidance and support throughout the program.
Lead monthly individual and group orientations, as well as crisis interventions, to effectively address students' needs and concerns.
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress in counseling files, ensuring complete and up-to-date records.
Regularly update the Case Information System (CIS) with detailed notes, facilitating comprehensive follow-up.
Implement and oversee the Evaluation of Student Progress (ESP) panel for all progress assessments, ensuring a holistic approach to measuring development.
Conduct rigorous assessments every 60 days, monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Perform additional tasks assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to organizational goals.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field from a four-year university or college. A minimum of 15 credits in Social Services is required.
Experience: At least one year of experience in counseling or a related field, working with young people between the ages of 16 and 24.
Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
Interpersonal skills: Excellent relationship-building, leadership, and effective communication skills.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate and work under minimal supervision.
Technological skills: Proficiency in computers and computer systems, including case management tools and office software.
Presentations: Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations to groups.
Driver's license: Valid state category 4 driver's license and good driving record.
Certification: Certification under Puerto Rico Law 300.
