Cross Country Education is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to make a real impact in a supportive school environment in Killingly, CT. Join our team as Special Education Teacher to help students with diverse learning needs thrive for the '25-'26 school year!

Position Overview:

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across diverse settings, with available roles including:

Grade 4 Resource: Managing a foundational academic caseload.

Grade 2 Autism: Leading a specialized, self-contained classroom.

Grades 9-12 Clinical: Supporting a Social-Emotional program for high school students.

Deliver explicit, small-group instruction and implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of students in specialized programs.

Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure program fidelity and successful student progress.

Apply crisis prevention and lead the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to promote a safe and positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree

Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification with either a 165 or 065 Endorsement (Required)

Prior experience effectively teaching and managing students with diverse needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder or significant social-emotional/behavioral challenges
